Hessam is a Chartered Professional Façade/Structural Engineer, bringing forth an extensive background of over two decades in the domains of façade and structural design, assessment, construction, and remediation. Throughout his extensive career, he has spearheaded engineering consulting and contracting teams, delivering comprehensive and innovative facade solutions tailored to meet diverse project requirements.

His specialization encompasses the weatherproofing design of pressure-equalized and drained façade solutions, spanning diverse materials such as glass, aluminum, zinc, ACM, stainless steel, stone, terracotta, and structural and weather seal sealants.

Hessam’s portfolio includes a broad spectrum of significant projects across commercial, residential, healthcare, and educational sectors in Australia and New Zealand. He holds the distinction of being an approved author of PS1, PS2, and PS4 Producer Statements, as reflected in his inclusion on AC2324 Auckland Council’s producer statement authors register.

Shihara Perera, is a Chartered Professional Façade/Structural Engineer with over 10 years of experience in façade and structural design, assessment, construction and remedial disciplines.

She has played a key role in delivering successful outcomes for commercial, residential, healthcare, and mixed-use projects across various stages of design and construction in both Australia and New Zealand.

Shihara’s expertise spans detailed structural analysis and design, thermal performance evaluation, façade specification writing, and the preparation of technical reports. She is experienced in conducting site inspections, providing construction support, and witnessing façade testing for structural integrity and weathertightness compliance.

Her work involves a wide range of materials including glass, steel, aluminium, stone and masonry, ensuring their suitability and performance in diverse engineering applications. She has had plenty of exposure to dealing with architects, developers, and contractors throughout the design and delivery stage of projects.  She has also undertaken PhD research at the University of Melbourne, determining the behavior of various façade cladding materials subjected to hailstones impact.
